Great Blue Hole, BelizeOne of nature’s most impressive natural formations, the Great Blue Hole is increasingly one of the most popular diving locations in the world. It’s easy to see why as the largest blue hole in the world provides an unrivalled opportunity to dive 400 feet down into an otherworldly limestone cave system. Home to over 500 rare forms of animal and plant life, the deep navy blue circular formation stands out from the crystal clear waters of the surrounding ocean. The hole is surrounded by the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, a ring shaped series of islands which surround the Great Blue Hole. For those not wishing to dive, there are several opportunities to fly over the formation, which really reveals the contrast in blues between it and the surrounding waters. For those wanting a thrill, the spot has increasingly become a popular skydiving destination for the same reason!
